Our legendary comedy club, The Buzz, at the Southern in Chorlton, Manchester ran for fifteen years from 1989 to 2004, compered by the veteran punster Agraman the human anagram…it became the longest-running comedy club outside London, and helped launch the careers of Steve Coogan, Caroline Aherne, Dave Spikey, Eddie Izzard, Bill Bailey, Lee Evans, Jack Dee, Harry Hill, Frank Skinner, Mark Thomas, Jo Brand, Alan Carr, Ross Noble, Jason Manford, and Peter Kay (thanks for the mention in your autobiography, Peter)....to name but a lot.....now in 2008 THE BUZZ is back!...see listings below
